To inform my work I researched Synaesthesia; the neurological condition in which the bodily senses are confused. Specifically, the stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway involuntarily produces a second sensory stimulation. For example, a specific number is perceived as a certain colour.The crossing of senses corresponds with what I am trying to achieve by describing a sound in visual terms.
